Willie is a 9 year old American Spotted Draft (Percheron bloodlines) with a heartas big as his butt! He belongs to Anna, but will gladly give a kiss to anybodywilling to stop and say hi to him. Willie, unlike a lot of Blue Star’s horses,has had a wonderful life. He came to a woman named Terri when he was 2, wherehe did light trail riding, hung out with Terri’s other horses and donkeys, andate everything he could! Anna bought him from Terri when he was 5, and startedsome more serious training with him. Anna had him for a year and a half, but whenthe economic depression hit Terri offered to buy Willie back. Anna kept intouch with Terri over the next three years, and now this year Terri gave Willieto Anna rather than sell him to someone else, making Anna very, very happy. Willieis Anna’s best friend.

Willie rides in a bitless bridle, knows some basic dressage,loves trail riding, and is incredibly smart – he can untie most knots, opengates, and likes to pick things up with his inquisitive mouth. At Blue Star hewill learn how to drive, as well as continuing his training under saddle, andwill become one of Blue Star’s working horses, helping support himself and the herd!
