“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”
- Buddhist Proverb
I believe that horses can be great teachers. But all too often, we ignore their greatest lessons. We force when we ought to feel. We whip when we ought to yield. We struggle when we ought to partner. We groom, rule + ride with a disciplined mind — but we fail to honor their ancient wisdom + profound intuition. Or our own, for that matter.
When we treat horses as our equals — our partner-beings + soul-companions — we can cultivate new ways of connecting + communicating with all living beings.
When we treat horses as our teachers — and sometimes, our willful students — we can experience true mindfulness: a state of being joyfully present, focused + aware.
Whether you’re a horse lover, a dog lover, or simply a lover of natural beauty, I’m here to help you catch a glimpse of a higher consciousness.
A greater truth.
And together — with the wind in our manes — we can reach our next level of wisdom.

Horses + Me:
A Love Story.
As a young girl in Germany, horses were my playmates, my confidantes, and my peers.
I felt more like ‘myself’ in their company than with most human beings.
Did I talk to my horses? Of course.
Did they talk back? Most definitely.
Today, I work with horses + their humans in Western Massachusetts — in 1-on-1 workshops, group training sessions and at live expos + events, including The Equine Wellness Expo — an annual 1-day event that I founded in partnership with Blue Star Equiculture. The Expo is an extraordinary space to educate horse lovers about holistic, organic + spiritually-grounded equine wellness practices — from dentistry to nutrition to injury rehabilitation, and beyond. With hundreds of visitors from around the nation and dozens of speakers + vendors, it’s a true labor of love — and the best day of my year. www.equinewellnessexpo.com
I am a writer and as such share stories from the heart (and the barn, and the pasture). You can find my writing on my blog at www.Mindful-Connections.com, or in regularly featured local + national magazines and newspapers.
I’m currently crafting my first book proposal, and am launching “Mindful Connections on the Red Sofa”, an informative, insightful and inspiring web-show series Spring of 2013.
