The baby of Blue Star, Fancy Dan has stolen all of our hearts. Born on April 12 around 4 am to Fanny, his birth fell on the day of Blue Star’s trip to NYC to raise awareness about carriage horses as part of our Beautiful Horse campaign. Talk about a good omen! Dan, son of Blue Star’s Fanny and Homeward Middlebuy, has some pretty impressive Morgan bloodlines on his mother’s side. His half sister, Raehurst Bonnielass, born in 1994, won the world championship at the 2001 World Morgan Show in Oklahoma City.

Fancy breeding aside, Fancy Dan is dying to meet the rest of the herd and show off just how fancy he thinks he is to everybody else – and he doesn’t need papers to prove it! He is a pro at soccer, and is equally talented with assisting with his own haltering and leading, and likes to aid in filling up his water bucket as well. His idea of helpful might differ from that of his human friends, but that doesn’t stop Dan!

Blue Star has big plans for Dan: We are going to find him the perfect forever home, and until that home comes along we will teach him everything we know. He is a very special boy, and we are all lucky to have him in our lives!
