Blue Star Equiculture offers driving lessons for all levels. Driving lessons are private and offer one-on-one interaction with driving instructor Roy Nilson. Blue Star is on a 129-acre farm with a large training ring, quiet dirt roads, and a busy street, giving the student a chance to experience a variety of driving environments. We offer lessons in both singles and pairs, and can tailor a program to meet the student’s needs (ex. logging, big hitches, etc.). Roy will also travel to students’ homes if they want a lesson or training session with their own horse and will also train a green horse to drive.

Driving Lessons require a minimum of a one hour commitment.

Please arrive half an hour early to get your horse from the pasture, groomed and tacked. Depending on your level of experience, your first lesson may include teaching you how to groom and harness your horse.

Don't have any horse experience? Think it's too late to learn? That's not true at all! Roy enjoys teaching students of all ages and abilities.
