501c3 Non-Profit Corporation Status

As a non-profit organization that relies on public donations and grants, Blue Star Equiculture seeks to be a transparent as possible about our operations.

Blue Star Equiculture, Inc., received its federal EIN (26-4456559) from the IRS on March 16, 2009.

Our Articles of Incorporation as a non-profit corporation were received and accepted by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on April 3, 2009.

Blue Star Equiculture received its 501(c)3 determination letter from the IRS on December 23, 2009. All donations from the date of incorporation, April 3, 2009, are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Our 90 years of experience in issues relating to agriculture here in Massachusetts has made us widely considered the "Voice of Agriculture" in the Commonwealth. This respect for the grassroots policy development process and emphasis on every members input have propelled Farm Bureau in to playing a critical role in shaping public policy locally and at the state and national levels.

Carriage Operators of North America

CONA is committed to promoting the humane welfare of carriage animals. We promote quality carriage and customer service. We strive to be the voice of the professional carriage industry by representing our membership and assisting government agencies at the local, state and federal levels. We provide open communications and education for members and the public on the operation and management of the carriage trade. We encourage networking and sharing of ideas throughout the industry.

Pioneer Valley History Network

Our mission is to promote and provide effective communication and collaboration among the historical societies, sites and museums of the Pioneer Valley and to foster a public appreciation for, and an awareness of, such repositories of history.

Equestrian Land Conservation Resource

ELCR was founded with the belief that the loss of open land is a great and urgent threat to the future of equestrian activities throughout this country, and that there is a serious need to take action to preserve land for equestrian use.

Veterinary Care:

Veterinary care for Blue Star Equiculture's horses, cats and dogs is provided by Mill Valley Veterinary Clinic in Belchertown, MA. Our horses' primary care veterinarians, Dr. Clifford Morcom, DVM, and Dr. Timothy Galusha, DVM, are both members of the American Association of Equine Practitioners.

Farrier Care:

Regular farrier care for Blue Star Equiculture's horses is provided by Tony Diamond and Josh Noone.
