SPONSOR BILLY

Billy came to Blue Star with his half brother Bob in June of 2011. Billy is the younger brother, around 5, and also the shyer of the two. A handsome black Percheron gelding, he stands at a little under 17 hands and was underweight when he arrived. As with all the BSE horses, a little TLC goes a long way, and all BSE horses get a lot of it! Billy was very mistrustful of people at first, especially about his head. His former owner was afraid of Billy and Bob and didn’t know how to handle them properly. We suspect the brothers were yelled at and intimidated by people, and have not had any real training. That is all about to change! Billy has made huge strides already. After the first week or so he began opening up to us here on the farm, and is such a sweet heart. He wants to be friends, he just isn’t always sure if it is safe! Billy has no health problems that we have noticed, aside from lack of muscle definition, and we are excited about training BSE newest team.
